A gentle laser device will be used to deliver steady heating to the dermis, targeting imperfections while stimulating collagen production. As the laser moves over your skin, you might feel a gentle warming sensation, often likened by patients to warm raindrops. The procedure is generally comfortable and straightforward. There's no need for numbing or comfort measures, and each session typically lasts around 30 minutes per area, allowing you to fit it into even the busiest schedule.

- Post-Treatment Care -

After your Laser Genesis treatment, there is no required downtime, allowing you to return to your routine immediately. However, it's important to follow specific post-treatment care instructions to optimize results. Be sure to wear sunscreen and avoid prolonged sun exposure to protect your newly treated skin from damage. It's advisable to avoid using any abrasive or harsh skincare products for at least a few days post-treatment. Hydrate your skin with a gentle moisturizer to enhance healing and maintain your glowing results. While most patients do not experience side effects, slight redness may appear but typically subsides within a few hours.

  • Laser Genesis is a noninvasive laser treatment used to safely and effectively rejuvenate the face by improving fine lines, redness, Rosacea, acne and acne scarring, uneven skin tone and texture, enlarged pores, and lessen the fine vellus hairs on the face. The gentle heating of the dermis stimulates collagen for longer lasting results. Consistent results are seen after each treatment.

  • Men and Women of all skin types can have this treatment done safely. The procedure can treat many skin conditions (see above) and give an improved, youthful appearance to the skin. This treatment can generally be done on any area of the body as well. To find out if your specific skin concerns can be addressed with the Laser Genesis, please book a consultation with Dr. Desai or our Nurse Practitioner in Houston.

  • The treatment can take up to 30 minutes per area.

  • There is no pain associated with this treatment. Patients often describe the Laser Genesis treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. The laser provides a warming sensation to the skin similar to the sensation one feels when standing near a fire. There is no numbing required.

    We understand that everyone has different levels of sensitivity. To ensure your experience is as comfortable as possible, we offer a comprehensive comfort menu with various options to minimize any discomfort. These options may include topical numbing creams, ice packs, and Pronox pain management, all tailored to suit your preferences.

    Your comfort is our priority, and our team is here to ensure you feel at ease throughout the entire process.

  • There is no downtime with the Laser Genesis. At the most there may be some mild redness to the skin that should resolve within an hour. Patients will be able to go back to work immediately after the treatment.

  • Laser Genesis is effective for treating fine lines, large pores, uneven texture, skin redness, and mild acne scars, making it suitable for a range of skin concerns.

  • The procedure uses a laser to heat the dermis, stimulating collagen regrowth and targeting conditions associated with aging and sun damage, like redness and uneven skin texture.

  • Results can be seen immediately and continue to improve over days and weeks. Multiple Laser Genesis treatments are usually needed to see the full results.

  • This can vary from patient to patient but on average 4-6 Laser Genesis treatments are required for the full results. Some skin conditions may require more treatments. You may schedule a consultation with Dr. Desai or our Nurse Practitioner to see if your skin would be amenable to the treatment and to receive a cost estimate. We do offer package pricing to encourage use of the full treatment.

  • There are virtually no side effects to this laser treatment. You may have some mild temporary redness after the procedure that will resolve within an hour. Protective eyewear is provided to you to protect the eyes while the laser is in use.
