Dr. Desai likes to spend her time outside of aesthetics with her husband, two kids (8 year old and 6 year old), and dog Coco.
Fun Fact: She named Artavi after her family. “AR” is the first two letters of both of her kids’ names, “TA” is the first two letters of her name, and “VI” is the first two letters of her husband’s name!

Dr. Tarina Desai, M.D.
Dr. Desai is the Owner, Medical Director, and Chief Injector of Artavi Med Spa. She has been working in aesthetics and injecting full time since 2016. She received her BS in Business Administration from Trinity University and thereafter attended medical school. She completed her residency training in San Antonio, TX where she also served as chief resident and became board certified in family medicine.
After practicing medicine for almost 7 years and living life as a skincare and makeup fanatic since early middle school, she decided to start her path down the middle, bringing the two together. Born and raised in Houston, TX, she moved to Oak Forest after residency and found the Heights Mercantile in Houston to be the perfect place to open her med spa.
After finishing her residency training, she worked as a hospitalist in Houston for a few years and then set out to further her studies in aesthetic medicine. She spent two years studying aesthetics, flying around the US to train under expert injectors who have been in the field for over 20 years, including Family Practice physicians, Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons, and Neurosurgery physicians.
She has a long list of certifications which include the art and science of botulinum toxin cosmetic use injections, the art of dermal filler injections, sclerotherapy, emerging therapies in regenerative aesthetic medicine, laser and IPL training, and the science of skin rejuvenation with chemical peeling, medical microdermabrasion, and microneedling. She is one of the top injectors in her field and uses advanced techniques to give the most natural and visible results that her patients desire. Dr. Desai is continually advancing her knowledge and training in aesthetics by attending conferences and courses to perfect her skills. She was selected by Allergan (the makers of Botox and Juvederm) to attend their exclusive institute masterclass led by a Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon. With over a decade in the beauty industry and 4 years as a licensed aesthetician, Krystle brings both experience and passion to every treatment. She’s committed to ongoing education and enjoys exploring new techniques, treatments, and technologies to perfect her craft. Her top priority is helping patients feel confident in their own skin, combining personalized care with the latest in aesthetics to deliver results that truly glow.
Krystle is thrilled to join the Artavi team and looks forward to contributing to its continued growth and success.

Saba
Saba is our board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for aesthetic medicine and the confidence it brings to individuals. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s degree from UTHealth.
She focuses on injectables and skin rejuvenation, taking a thoughtful, personalized approach to each patient.
Known for her warm, approachable personality, Saba creates a welcoming space where patients feel comfortable, understood, and confident in their care. She is thrilled to join Artavi Med Spa and looks forward to growing in aesthetics while helping patients look and feel their best.

Meet Marisa, our dedicated Practice Manager! Newly engaged as of October 26th, Marisa brings her vibrant energy and passion to everything she does. A huge Disney fan and lover of all things Halloween, she has a knack for creating a fun and welcoming environment. When she’s not managing the practice, you can find her enjoying sushi, practicing yoga, or diving into astrology. Marisa’s enthusiasm and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of our team!

With her upbeat energy and natural warmth, Kayla has a way of making everyone feel instantly comfortable and right at home. She keeps the front desk running seamlessly while making sure every client’s experience starts off on the best note.
Kayla is all about the details—whether it’s helping you get checked in smoothly, answering questions, or making sure your visit feels easy and stress-free, she’s got you covered.
Outside of the spa, Kayla loves unwinding with her three cats—Ash, Axel, and Kiwi—and tapping into her creative side with arts and crafts. And if there’s one thing to know about her? She never says no to a Dr Pepper.
Kayla brings heart, personality, and a little spark to everything she does, and our space just wouldn’t be the same without her.
