Dermaplaning
We offer dermaplaning treatments to those who want a quick exfoliation of the skin while also removing the fine vellus hairs of the face, or “peach fuzz.” Dermaplaning preps and primes the skin for full absorption of skin care products that are applied afterwards. In addition, with the removal of the fine hairs, makeup application is much easier with a smoother application. The treatment can help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars over time.
Dermaplaning is ideal for those who have an upcoming event with heavy makeup. However, the treatment can also be done for those who prefer a smooth, fuzz free face regularly. It is safe to be done every 1-2 weeks. Dermaplaning is best when combined with the Diamond Glow or Laser Genesis for a no downtime, red carpet treatment.
+ How long does a dermaplaning treatment take?
The treatment should take about 30 minutes. Ideally it is combined with our Diamond Glow treatment or the Laser Genesis and then the full service becomes about 60 minutes.
+ When will I see results?
You can see the results immediately after the treatment. Though rarely there may be some redness depending on your skin type, you should expect to see improvement over the next few days following treatment.
+ Does the treatment hurt?
This procedure is very comfortable and does not require any numbing or pain medications.
+ Are there any side effects?
There are generally no side effects to this treatment when performed by a trained professional. If you have sensitive skin, you may experience some minimal irritation. Speak with your skin care professional performing the treatment about your concerns prior to the service.
