We are open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm and some Saturdays by appointment only.

+ What services are offered at Artavi?

We are always expanding our services. Currently we offer Botox, dermal fillers including Juvederm, Restylane, and Versa, Laser Skin Rejuvenation with Laser Genesis, IPL Photofacials, Laser Hair Removal, Laser Vein Removal, Radiofrequency Microneedling with Secret RF, Kybella, facials, chemical peels including VI Peel, Dermal Infusion or Diamond Glow Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Microneedling, PRP Facials, PRP Hair Restoration, and Body Contouring with Trusculpt iD.

+ How will I know which services I will need?

Each of our services are personalized to you as we understand that no two people are alike. We offer full, in-depth consultations with our board certified physician in order to help decide the best treatment plan for you and to ensure your results are aligned with your expectations. We also offer complimentary consultations with our registered nurse or aesthetician using the Skinceuticals skinscope. You will fill out an assessment form and then a skin analysis will be done to determine the treatment program best suited for your needs.

+ Do you sell any skin care products?

Yes we do! No skin care service is complete without the continued use of excellent skin care products. We carry Skinceuticals, EltaMD, Obagi Medical, and SkinMedica. We take pride in these products as Dr. Desai has personally tried and tested each product and they are only sold through a skin care physician’s office.

+ What are the qualifications of the staff performing the services?

The injectables are done by either our board certified physician, Dr. Tarina Desai or our trained registered nurse. Dr. Desai is an expert in her field and has received her certifications in the art and science of botulinum toxin cosmetic use injections, the art of dermal filler injections, sclerotherapy, emerging therapies in regenerative aesthetic medicine, laser and IPL training, and the science of skin rejuvenation with chemical peeling, medical microdermabrasion, and microneedling. She has trained under expert injectors who have been in the field for over 20 years, including Family Practice physicians, Plastic Surgeons, Dermatologists, and Neurosurgery physicians all over the world and the US, including Paris, Florida, New York City, Las Vegas, and California.

The aesthetician services are done by one of our licensed medical aestheticians who have undergone further specialized training by Dr. Desai and our product representatives.

+ Do you accept insurance?

Unfortunately, none of these cosmetic medical services are covered by insurance.

+ What is the difference between a day spa and a med spa?

A med spa will typically offer cosmetic medical grade treatments which are superior and offer more noticeable and immediate results than the treatments found at most day spas. Because these treatments are more intensive, they are only legally allowed to be done under the supervision of a physician.

Though med spas are required to have a physician director, often those doctors are rarely actually on the premises. Make sure that you choose a med spa where the doctor is present full-time to ensure proper techniques and your complete safety.

+ What should I do before my appointment?

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow time for any prep and paperwork to be done beforehand. If you are coming in for any treatments or consultation for facial services, please arrive without makeup if possible. Currently due to COVID, we also offer virtual consultations and are asking patients to fill their forms out via our patient portal prior to coming in.

If you are receiving an injectable treatment and are on blood thinners including aspirin, plavix, warfarin, advil, motrin, vitamin E, gingko biloba, or St. John’s Wort, please consult your physician or call our office for a review of your medications and advice on if you should discontinue these temporarily prior to your procedure.

Avoid alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to an injectable or microneedling treatment.

+ How much downtime is necessary?

Most of our procedures require no to minimal downtime. The majority of patients do not require any time off from work and may even return to work on the same day. Be aware that some of the injectables may cause mild swelling for a period of 24 hours afterwards. A longer period of recovery may be necessary for deep peels, microneedling, or combined procedures.

+ How long do treatments take?

We allow 30 minutes to an hour for each treatment, depending on the service, to give our patients a relaxed environment and to avoid having our patients wait to be seen.

+ How do I know what treatments to schedule an appointment for?

We recommend you first book a consultation during which time we will analyze your skin and listen to what areas bother you. After this, the physician or provider will provide a recommendation on which treatments will help you achieve what you are looking for and best suit your skin type while being mindful of your budget.
